We reveal the album title and cover artwork!!!
Today, Dutch metallers REVAMP are happy to present the title and cover artwork of their upcoming new album that’ll be released via Nuclear Blast on - mind the new release date - August 23rd, 2013!
The record will be entitled »Wild Card« - a title that, according to singer Floor Jansen, came about as follows: “This album became the most aggressive album I’ve ever made and in the lyrics I tell a lot about my personal experiences of the last years. This resulted into some heavy stories and some openhearted ‘screams’ I needed out of my system. It matches the violence of the music in a great way, we wrote as a great team! But not one sentence or word can really cover the contents of this album. Its variety in all its ingredients makes it almost impossible. A wild card is an unpredictable and unforeseeable factor. You don’t know what you’re getting, or when. That’s this album! It’s 100% ReVamp and it’s your wild card!”
A concept that’s taken literally in the album artwork, as the power woman explains: “I am the queen of hearts on it, who is a wild card herself. You see a ‘nice’ and a ‘nasty’ queen. The nasty one has a cracked lip, cuts in her face and a bleeding heart in her hand. The other queen looks nice even though queens of hearts never truly are... Again, what is it you’re going to get? In that respect it visualizes the music, from aggressive and nasty to melodic and pretty. This theme has been important to me personally throughout my career and also in this album I played with it to the max. I used my voice in so many different ways now! The music invited me to do this, I am super proud of the amazing guitar riffs, the versatile and groovy but mega tight drums and the keyboard sounds and arrangements that bring something new to the table. We hope you like our wild card!”

REVAMP - announces new bass player
Bass player Henk Vonk is REVAMP's new man on bass guitar! He replaces Jaap Melman who left the band before the recordings of the new upcoming album. The decision was made in mutual understanding and we can still drink a glass of beer together.
On the album plays STREAM OF PASSION bassist Johan van Stratum who filled in on short notice and did an amazing job to record and edit the bass parts.
Henk Vonk will be joining us on stage from now on to seriously rock your asses! He's a great guy and an amazing bass player. Please welcome him warmly!

NEWS UPDATE!
In the few years of ReVamp’s young existence the band endured many challenges and unexpected circumstances. Heavy winter storms with long periods of suffocating frost! Followed by sudden summer rains with wild streams of water that’s taking everything with it into unknown territory. A survival of the fittest! ReVamp came out stronger, more mature and with darker and more brutal music that tells the tale of this wild ride!
Singer Floor: “Never before in my career I faced a situation like the one we were in with this album. It was a huge challenge because of several reasons. My sickness caused a major break between the first album and tours plus the writing of the first ideas for the second album and the actual finalization of those songs and the album. And right at the moment we started to pick everything back up after I was sick I joined Nightwish. Like a winter and a summer storm, they bring unexpected things, some nasty ones and some amazingly wonderful!
Also the recording of this album was unlike any I did before because I was on tour with Nightwish most of the time. Guided by Joost van den Broek (ex-After Forever, songwriter first ReVamp album) the talented musicians of ReVamp recorded all the instruments and when I came back to The Netherlands I stepped into the studio to find a rough diamond. A shiny dark crystal: ready for my vocals. That was magical! The singing went smoother than ever before. The lyrics are like a roadmap through our storms and through my personal detours and horrors.
The result of this trial will be released on album in September 2013. With pride we can announce our partner in crime from the first album will again join forces with us! Metal and rock giant Nuclear Blast will again make sure ReVamp’s new album reaches YOUR music collection wherever you are on this metal loving planet!!!

Recording update:
the final recording sessions are taking place this month. We just finished a wonderful day in the SandLane Studio with Joost van den Broek to record the choir parts. Floor joined forces with Marcela Bovio (Stream of Passion) and Daniël de Jongh (Textures) and together they spiced up the epic choir parts on this heavy upcoming album!

Studio update:
Almost all recordings are done for ReVamp's second album! The release will be in September but we promise to reveal some details about the album to make the waiting easier. We also have some cool studio stuff to show you :-) Coming up soon!!!
RELEASE SECOND REVAMP ALBUM POSTPONED!
Due to the changed situation in which singer Floor joined Nightwish on their world tour and summer festivals the band has decided to postpone the release.
The new album deserves full attention and with the schedule as it is today is it not possible to do enough shows, tours and festivals.
ReVamp wants to release the album in the fall of 2013. The exact date and more info about the possible tours will come as soon as possible.
The recording of the album stays as scheduled and will start in December of this year!

The ReVamp webshop is online again! Singer Floor made new merchandise of her own and ReVamp's first album can be purchased as well.
ReVamp is finishing the songwrite process of the second album. When the album is released in 2013; new merchandise will be available.
Floor's merchandise, signed postcards and ReVamp albums can also be purchased during the Nightwish live shows!

Floor sings with Nightwish
Another chapter of the Nightwish story has ended today. Nightwish and Anette Olzon have decided to part company, in mutual understanding, for the good of all parties involved.
Finnish/Swedish symphonic metallers NIGHTWISH have issued the following statement:
In recent times it has become increasingly obvious that the direction and the needs of the band were in conflict, and this has led to a division from which we cannot recover.
Nightwish has no intention of cancelling any upcoming shows, and as a result we have decided to bring in a substitute vocalist starting in Seattle 1.10.2012. Her name is Floor Jansen from The Netherlands (ex-After Forever, ReVamp), and she has graciously stepped in to help us complete the Imaginaerum world tour.
We are all strongly committed to this journey, this vehicle of spirit, and we are sure that this will lead to a brighter future for everyone.
We forever remain excited about the adventures to come, and we are extremely proud of the two beautiful albums and the wonderful shows we shared together.
